About Us

Since opening Baer-Carlson Communications, Inc. in 2000, Monica Baer has provided public relations and marketing services to a variety of national, regional and local clients, including Briggs & Stratton (the largest manufacturer of engines for outdoor power equipment), Kangaroo Brands (a national producer of pita products), Wisconsin Maritime Museum (the largest maritime museum on the Great Lakes), Advanced Healthcare (a Milwaukee-area medical group), Kobalt Tools (a national line of professional mechanics tools sold at Lowe’s), and Honeywell HomMed (a national company that produces and distributes advanced, in-home telemonitoring equipment).

Baer-Carlson has extensive experience in executing national awareness and media relations campaigns, sales support programs, consumer awareness projects, new product introductions, employee relations activities and events and event marketing and sponsorship programs.  Most notably, she helped create and execute the public relations program for Master Lock’s “One-Second” television commercial – believed to be the first ever.  The ensuing worldwide publicity coverage kept the Master Lock name among the top consumer brands in viewer recall studies.  Monica has also orchestrated product launch press conferences and events in New York and other major media markets.


Monica Baer has also conducted numerous media tours on behalf of clients including pitches to Family Circle, House & Garden, Real Simple, IVillage, Woman’s Day SIPs, Country Living, Redbook, Quick & Simple, O at Home and Good Housekeeping.
